Betsy took in a rescued Australian shepherd, Ch. Tres Rios Strut Your Stuff, UD, Can. CD, ASCA CD, CGC (Jesse), in 1991, since she had always had an interest in the breed, and now AKC recognition would make showing an Aussie in obedience more practical. Jesse made his novice debut in Canada in 1993, with four placements and two high in trials for a Dog World Award. Jesse earned his AKC CD in 1994, including HIT at the national specialty. Jesse provided another new venture for Betsy, since he was also shown in conformation. Linda Brennan handled him to his AKC championship. Jesse went on to earn his CDX and UD titles.
